Position Overview:
The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships within the multifamily housing sector. This role requires a hunter mentality, a proactive approach to sales, and the ability to leverage existing connections in the industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of flooring products, materials, and installation services, as well as a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the multifamily market, including apartment complexes, property management companies, and contractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and builders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Present and promote our flooring products and installation services to potential clients through in-person meetings, phone calls, and networking events.
- Collaborate with the installation team to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and manage territory budget.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate benefits to clients.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in flooring, building materials, or related industry, with a focus on multifamily sales.
- Proven hunter mentality with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Established network and connections within the multifamily housing sector in Houston.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Results-oriented with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
