.NET Web Developer II
The person in this position will work closely with the team in developing the frontend and server side of the web application. Project duties include requirements analysis, front-end and back-end web application development, testing, and participation in interactive code reviews. Hands-on development experience as part of a team modernizing government applications will be helpful.
Required Technical Skills
C# and ASP.NET (MVC 5 & Core 8): Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications on both legacy (.NET Framework) and modern (.NET Core) platforms.
.NET Core 6/7/8: Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and scalable web applications, including dependency injection, middleware, and minimal APIs.
VB.NET: Strong ability to understand, debug, and enhance legacy applications.
.NET Framework 4.8: Deep knowledge of the runtime, libraries, configuration, and application lifecycle.
Kendo UI (jQuery + MVC Wrappers): Expertise in building interactive UI components and dynamic web interfaces.
JavaScript & jQuery: Proficient in DOM manipulation, AJAX calls, event-driven UI, and cross-browser compatibility.
SQL Server: Skilled in writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
Oracle & DB2: Solid experience with multiple RDBMS platforms, including data integration, migration, and cross-platform queries.
Web API (RESTful Services): Experience designing, building, and consuming secure, versioned APIs.
Entity Framework / Dapper / ADO.NET: Knowledge of both ORM tools and raw data access strategies.
Front-End Integration: Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser development.
Unit Testing: Proficient in writing and maintaining unit tests for both front-end and back-end components.
Version Control Systems: Hands-on experience with Git; familiarity with Jira for issue tracking.
