ROLE OVERVIEW

Trazi is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our backend engineering team! 1 year of writing backend services in Node.js experience is required. You'll have the opportunity to make an impact on a growing team that values work life balance.

Trazi is a web management company that owns and manages several online e-commerce businesses. This role is with the development of the People Search Division which manages one of the largest sites in the industry. It competes directly with WhitePages and other similar sites. We have been a leader in this space for the last 5 years and continue to grow year after year. This division is a crown jewel in the Trazi empire.

This is a hybrid position located in the Orlando, FL area. You are able to work semi-remote (3 days) and on-site (2 days).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of data storage solutions like MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.
• Setup API integrations with various 3rd parties that enable and optimize business processes
• Provide test coverage including unit and automated tests
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality deliverables in a timely cadence
• Team orientation, but ability to deliver independently with good communication skills
• Design and development of Microservices

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of software engineering experience within Node.js,
• Worked with and understands true microservice architecture,
• Experience in various web service protocols like SOAP, REST, etc.,
• Worked with "Big Data" or wants to,
• Know when to use 3d party libraries and when not to,
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Github and GitLab,
• Experience dealing with high traffic environments,
• Knows and cares about performant code,
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab, Github, Circle, etc),
• Have experience in working with Mongo, Cassandra (Scylla), Postgres, Redis,
• Understanding and experience working within Agile methodology process,
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies (CI/CD),
• Able to communicate complex ideas in simple to understand terms,
• Strong understanding of networking code and the systems that run it,
• Wants to constantly improve themselves by seeking feedback.
